From the majestic Gothic Cathedral of Milan, the Duomo, embellished with sculptures, stained glass windows and the “Madunina” symbol of Milan strolling through the gallery dedicated to Vittorio Emanuele II, we will get to Piazza della Scala where the worldwide known theater stands ever hosting the most talented composers, the most noble interpreters, the most famous conductors.
In the historic heart of Milan captivates Piazza dei Mercanti, a corner of the Middle Ages that preserves the Palazzo della Ragione, the Loggia degli Osii and Palatine Schools from the Communal time.
To the Sforzesco Castle along Via Dante, historical buildings lead to the Residence, then Headquarters, of the most powerful Milanese family, Visconti-Sforza. He Castle, with courtyards, towers and ramparts hosts inside many museums, including Museum of Sculpture, Decorative Arts, Ancient Art, the Art Gallery, Musical Instruments, the famous Sala delle Asse with frescoes by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo’s surprising late work Pietà Rondanini
